My Story

Rugby has always been a huge part of my life.  From playing to coaching. The team at Newcastle have been part of that , helping me along the way with my coaching, allowing me to help with summer camps over the years has given me so much expereince working with a wide range of coaches.

The Foundation do so much for the local rugby community, and my club - Hartlepool RFC - have accessed so much that the Foundation has to offer - match day experiences, age grade festivals, and camps held at the club.  For me, running the GNR and fundraising as much as I can is just a way of saying thank you to the Foundation Team but also knowing that funds raised will go back into the rugby community with young players, right across our area accessing rugby, having fun and making positive memories.

On a personal note, having recently come back from a serious back injury, I know that without the support of my rugby freinds I would not have stayed as positive as I did without thier support.  This again, is the power of rugby, you make friends for life, helping each other on the pitch and off it.
